About
It’ s easy to say, “I want to become a screenwriter. ” At fifteen, I repeated this exact sentence hundreds of times when asked what Brady Sincerely, I wanted to pursue in college. But it's much harder to articulate what one plans to accomplish with such a profession. Thankfully, my parents challenged me to do so. Before shipping me off to study Dramatic Writing, they needed to understand the purpose behind my passion.
It took until I was eighteen to admit said purpose. Growing up as a closeted gay kid in South Carolina, I always recognized the power of storytellers. Without meeting queer characters written by LGBTQIA+ writers, I may have never been able to put my own identity into words. But now that I have, I will devote my screenwriting career to returning this favor; crafting a range of authentic characters so my audiences feel no need to be anyone but themselves.
This mission is why I chose to study Dramatic Writing (B.F.A) with a minor in Film & Television at the Savannah College of Art & Design. And with my creative skillset growing by the quarter, I get to fulfill my passion every day. This portfolio is proof of that, and I hope you enjoy it!
